Why do you source from organically grown materials?
It is very important to us to source from organically grown materials because in our own research plants grown sustainably may produce more healing properties. Just like humans tend to be more healthy with natural foods, we feel medicinal herbs grown in their natural state are not only healthier, but provide more healing compounds for their human users. This is not just a feeling. Many studies have shown plants respond positively to how they are grown.
We source our other raw ingredients, like alcohol for our tinctures and elixirs, from organic sources as well. An organic certification gives us more confidence as to how the raw material was treated through production.

Why did you choose Organic cane alcohol for your extracts?
We utilize 190-proof certified organic alcohol because it works to strip the most herbal healing benefits from the plants. Additionally, alcohol helps encourage absorption of herbal constituents into the bloodstream. Our pharmaceutical grade, non-GMO cane alcohol is made from sugar cane grown in South America. It has a hint of butterscotch pudding taste while still allowing herbal aromas to show through.
Why does my tincture taste like citrus?
Our hemp and cannabis tinctures feature a natural citrus flavor, which is derived from the plant essential oil called d-limonene. This essential oil, also known as a terpene, is commonly found in lemons and orange peels. We have chosen to add in D-limonene to help with the flavor, as well as for its many potential health benefits, including mood boosting, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
d-limonene is a safe, non-toxic food additive.
If perhaps you find the citrus flavor is too overpowering, we suggest adding your tincture to water, tea, or other beverages.

Why is my tincture green? Why are there particles?
This is totally normal, as our tinctures are made with whole plant and whole hemp flower material. Cannabis and hemp extracts are almost always green due to the chlorophyll. The texture of our tinctures is due to the vegetable glycerin. Separation is natural, as the glycerin likes to separate from the plant material over time. Shake well!!
Has my tincture gone bad?
Your tincture has not likely gone bad. Vegetable glycerin, as well as the small amounts of alcohol present, acts as a natural preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria. However, vegetable glycerin has a shorter shelf life than a traditional alcohol-based tincture. You may want to dispose of your vegetable glycerin-based tincture after 60 months.
When can I expect results with CBD?
You may notice the effect of your CBD product within 30 minutes to a few hours, depending upon serving size, method of delivery, as well as personal tolerance. Sometimes, however, the cannabinoids need a chance to build-up in your body and help your endocannabinoid system become more receptive. We recommend consistently trying a product for at least 5-10 days before deciding if it works for you or not.
WHat if I am sensitive to Alcohol, or do not like the taste?
For those who need to minimize their intake of alcohol, most of the content will evaporate by leaving the drops in hot water for 30 minutes.
Alternatively, teas, decoctions, capsules, and powder extracts are devoid of alcohol and can be used in place of liquid extracts.

Why is their a ring around the dropper of your tinctures?
Great question! Simple answer is that we practice a very traditional herbal medicine here at Sun God Medicinals in an effort to extract as much as we possibly can from the plant, as we believe the whole plant part we are extracting is medicinal and our effort is to preserve all the phytochemicals we can for the consumer including plant waxes, chlorophyll, lipids, ect Therefore the ring is something that REALLY means full-spectrum!
